A Series of Facebook Vacations

Fleeing cyberspace in search of the harsh light of summer days.

In past summers I have been known to eliminate myself from cyber reality, fleeing cyberspace in search of the much more harsh light of summer days. Don’t get me wrong, I live on my computer—but I choose not to live in my computer—a choice that sometimes confuses people who’s neo-narcissistic selves have inflated so far that they begin thinking in status-updates.

As I pursue a healthy duality between digital and physical spaces I once again have to leave facebook. Maybe sitting here blogging about it makes me a bit of a hypocrite, but I only care about that a little bit…I will find my balance, and I choose the real “face-time.” The one where the person is sitting three feet away from you. Yeah, I like that.
